Children's Rights

Schools across Wales are teaching and learning about children’s rights and developing as Rights Respecting Schools. 

Learning about children’s rights is an excellent opportunity to consider the global as well as the local context as children’s rights are universal and apply to all children everywhere.

Global Learning Programme – Wales has put together a list of ideas and resources to give a global dimension to 10 popular children’s rights, for example:

Children have the right to relax and play (Article 31)

Short films showing children in different countries and situations. There is no need for voice over or sub-titles as each story is easily understood by pictures alone and language is used only as representation of the culture. FP and KS2
