Health and sanitation

Health and sanitation are basic elements of development and many of the solutions are basic too, so why in some parts of the world are there still immense hurdles to overcome?  Like most global learning topics, once they start investigating pupils will realise there are no easy answers. Health and sanitation links with other topics, education, housing and energy, to name a few.
